Boys school Football team – Final week

Last Friday we played 3 teams; Stamford Park, Navigation and Hale Prep. The game against Stamford Park was a cup quarter final AND a league match. We had to win all 3 of the matches to win the league. Firstly, we played Stamford Park, the pitch was slippery so the ball kept on sliding off the pitch, but Ben Stone grabbed a great goal in a 1-0 win!

Next we played Navigation and in a really close match, we won 1-0 again after a brilliant move to set up a tap in for Alfie Best to score!

Our final game was against Hale Prep, they were first in the league so we had to win. They were a very physical team and Ryan Hickey made some great saves to keep it 0-0, but unfortunately with 2 minutes to go Hale Prep scored a winner.

It was a really exciting end to the season and everyone played really well.
