Wellington Football Tournament
On Tuesday the 2nd of October we arrived at Wellington High School to play a tournament. There were 8 teams in the tournament and our group contained us Cloverlea, Stamford Park and Broomwood. Our first game was against Stamford Park and we comfortably won 3-0. Next we played Cloverlea and thanks to some beautiful football we won 6-0. Once again we dominated and won 2-0 but we could have won by a bigger margin. We left the group stage with maximum points, 3 clean sheets and immense confidence.
In the semi-final we faced our rivals The Bollin. Unfortunately, we went 1-0 down but thanks to a spectacular save from our goalkeeper it wasn’t 2. We didn’t lose confidence though and won the game 3-1. In the final we played Stamford Park, who we beat 3-0 in the groups. Once again they put in a strong performance but it was no match for us. We went on to win the game 7-0. This meant that we are the champions of the Wellington tournament 2018!
