Gifts from God

The very first gift that God gives us is the gift of life. Before any of the ‘newborn’ gifts are brought to us when we are born, God has already placed so many gifts inside of us. Kindness, being quick with numbers, impressive story writing, fast at sports, generosity, a good listener, patient…the list is endless. God also gave us a very special gift called ‘choice’ – we must use this gift so carefully because how we use it can affect others. Today we passed around a wrapped present and shared how we would use our gift of choice today to do good. We reflected about the times we had made sad choices with our gift and held onto a stone. The weight of the stone was a reminder that we were sorry and we would offer our sorry up to God.
