Welcome to St Hugh’s!
We are proud of our school with its happy and caring atmosphere and its tradition of hard work, academic achievement, sporting success, productions and parish community involvement. We see education as a partnership between home, school and parish and we look forward to welcoming you and your child into our school community. You are warmly encouraged to visit and see the school in action.
Our Mission Statement
Our School Prayer
This is our school
Let peace dwell here
Let the rooms be full of contentment
Let love abide here
Love of one another
Love of learning
Love of life itself
and love of God
Amen
Our mission statement provides a sense of direction or vision by which we can reach our aims and objectives. It encapsulates the central values and guiding beliefs that the school seeks to foster and promote. It is a touchstone for all relationships and interactions within the school community. It is our commitment to each other.
Our curriculum work is based upon the Gospel values within our ‘Visionary Rays’ and the footprints form the aims to support children to ‘Walk in the footsteps of Jesus, growing in the light of His love’.
Our mission statement and aims are displayed around school with a central display in the school hall. We refer to this during assemblies and through collective worship opportunities.
Each term we celebrate a themed ‘Mission and Vision’ day, where we carry out specific work and activities to help keep us focused on our faith and educational journey together.
