I'm Stickman, I'm Stickman, I'm Stickman, that's ME!

We have been looking at lots of Julia Donaldson books over the last few weeks and sharing a love for these stories. We have talked about authors and illustrators and what they do. Some children managed to spot that there is a Gruffalo hidden in lots of the different Julia Donaldson books, so have a little look out if you read any with your child. We discussed how lots of her books also rhyme and spotted the rhyming words as we went along.

As a class, we enjoyed retelling the story and chanting the words together, particularly…. I’m Stick Man, I’m Stick Man, I’m Stick Man,  that’s me!  We also made our own Stick Men… with some children making up stories about where their Stick Man had been!
