EYL

PSHE and Mindfulness

In EYL we start off every single day with Gratitude. Before finishing our morning prayer, Mrs Lumsden chooses 2 people to share something they are grateful for. We find that starting the day on such a positive and appreciative note means that we start it right. We have covered lots this year so far in regards to PSHE and mindfulness. We have often started a session with a group discussion, a story, a video or a picture to talk about. Our class have a colourful and vibrant PSHE book that has in it all of our sessions so far. We have enjoyed listening to ‘Hope the rainbow fairy’ and making rainbows in various ways, listened to ‘The Invisible String’ all about staying connected and made paper chains, heard ‘The Colour Monster’ and made some of our own, made our own Mindful jars and took them home and decorated our own mental health and well-being blue butterfly for our school butterfly trail.
